WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
Dirt Farm is open to the public from November through to June each year with regular public sessions running Fri 5pm - 8pm, Sat and Sun 9am - 4pm.
We will also be open between 9 am and 4 pm on selected public and school holidays so stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram for details.
How mUCH DOES IT COST AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
A full day pass at Dirt Farm costs $80 and includes all the shuttles you can squeeze into a 7 hour period (record stands at 26 runs so far!) .
If you don’t have a full 7 hours to dedicate to bikes then we also do half day ride passes which cost $50 and include 3 hours of non stop shuttling.
Friday evenings are aimed at getting you K Coast local folks a few sneaky laps after work. These sessions cost $40 and include all the runs and shuttling you can do in 3 hours.
IS CAR PARKING AVAILABLE?
Parking is available however spaces are limited so we encourage car sharing
ARE THE TRAILS SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?
Our intermediate trails (blues) are suitable for novice MTB riders who have had a bit of MTB experience.
Can U16’s ride unaccompanied at Dirt Farm?
U16’s are welcome at Dirt Farm but we ask that a parent/guardian remains on site at all times.
A waiver MUST be completed and signed before riding.
I HAVE A GIFT CERTIFICATE, HOW DO I USE IT?
Easy as. Just head here. Pick the ride session your certificate relates too (i.e. Full Day, Half Day, Twilight). Choose the date/time you want to ride. Read through the T’s & C’s and at the bottom of the page enter your unique Gift Certificate Code into the box marked Promo Code. Hit the Pay Now button and your booking will be locked in.
CAN I PUSH UP AND RIDE?
Unfortunately because our shuttle road is relatively narrow and we have focused all our energy on the down trails rather than the up, riding at Dirt Farm is by shuttle only with no riding permitted on the access roads.
CAN I CANCEL OR CHANGE A BOOKing?
Especially in these early days we count on your bookings to keep Dirt Farm open to the public. As a result we can’t offer cancellations however up to 72 hrs before your scheduled session you can jump online and move your ride day.
If we have to cancel a ride session due to extreme weather which we deem too dangerous for people to ride in, we will offer you the chance to either move your session to another date or receive a full refund. We will notify you via email and/or phone and provide re-booking instructions.
WHAT SAFETY EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
As a mandatory requirement all riders MUST wear a good condition MTB appropriate helmet when riding at Dirt Farm.
We also RECOMMEND that riders at Dirt Farm wear a full face helmet, knee pads and gloves with back and neck protection being highly recommended on the advanced and pro lines.
CAN I BUY FOOD?
Dirt Farm has a small Cafe selling a selection of snacks, cold drinks and coffee. We also have a communal BBQ which you are more than welcome to use to cook up a storm.
IS THERE A BIKE SHOP ONSITE?
Unfortunately at this stage no there isn’t, however we do sell a range of basic components such as tubes, quick links, derailleurs, cassettes etc. and are more than happy to lend you our tools for a bit of home mechanicing.
WHAT KIND OF BIKE DO I NEED TO RIDE DIRT FARM?
Bike choice is completely up to you, your preference, your skill level and what trails you want to ride at Dirt Farm. We have had people ride anything from hard tails through to monster down hill rigs.
